A senior official of the Ministry stated discussions have been on to hyperlink the e-Shram portal with the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, the Centre’s current accident insurance coverage scheme. The scheme would enable the employees to get the direct profit switch (DBT) via the e-Shram distinctive ID quantity. The official added that the distinctive IDs on the e-Shram portal carried the identical collection from the Staff Provident Fund Organisation’s (EPFO) common account quantity (UAN).
